Al Shifa Hospital's Cath Lab render full service, providing complete cardiovascular care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Heart Center's cath lab offers our patients the most advanced technology for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease.

Diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the laboratory include: hemodynamic cardiac catheterization and angiography, balloon valvuloplasty, atrial septostomy, embolization of vascular anomalies including patent ductus arteriosus, myocardial biopsy, endovascular stent placement, device closure of atrial and ventricular septal defects, vascular dilatation and vascular stenting.
